Show & Tell Friday

It's been a while, but I am back again. This is another pair of shoes for my show and tell. These belonged to my father. It is amazing to think that the feet I used to stand on to dance as a little girl, once fit into these tiny shoes. I also have his baptismal gown which I had my youngest photographed in when she was a baby. I will post pictures of that one of these days.

This was my dad's Dumbo when he was a little boy. It has a little squeaker in it, but I don't really use it. In fact, I keep this Dumbo under lock and key. My father had his 70th birthday last year so this Dumbo has had many years. It is a dear treasure to me.

I am so glad that Kelli hosts this wonderful event every week. It reminds me of some of the wonderful treasures that I have and that I need to bring them out to enjoy. Thanks Kelli! Be sure to visit the other wonderful blogs where people share the things they love and have a great weekend!

How sweet are those. The memories of us as little girls standing on our daddy's feet are just so precious.

Hi, Rhonda! I wanted to thank you for the lovely gift you sent to me along with your swap package! And also to let you know that you won the drawing for the hand dyed and hand made scarf we are giving away.

Thanks for being a part of our swap!

Love the shoes, and I LOVE the picture you've made for us as you danced atop his feet when a little girl. Awwwwwwwwwww.

There is an open invitation to stop by and view my show n tell project this week. Hope to see you there if you haven't dropped by already.

Oh my, your comment about his small feet and standing on them dancing, made me cry. What a beautiful thought! It makes us look at our parents in a different light when we imagine them as a child, loving on a stuffed animal or a cherished doll!

Dumbo is a so cute- my first thought when I saw his red white & blue neck scarf was "Was her Dad a Republican?"- I think maybe I've seen too much political coverage on TV!
