It's time for "Christmas in July" and Santa is coming tonight! I love the idea behind this snowy House Shaped Shadowbox with Cover from Alpha Stamps with all of its many details. Imagine if someone gave you this little gift full of ornamental treasures! I would be so touched by this gesture.
There are three different sizes of ornaments used in the project. Tiny Ornament Frame Sets, 25mm Ornament frame Sets and Small Ornament Frame Sets. The small ornament frames are my favorite because you can use the Small Clear Plastic Round Domes and add small items that can move around inside like 5mm White Snowflakes or Polymer Clay Slices. There are several polymer designs to choose from on the Alpha Stamps site.
Once you get inside of the house, you're in for a huge surprise!
What is that I see upstairs? Why it's unique ornaments for my Christmas tree!
I simply glued a strand of velvet ribbon around the "house" to hold all of the ornaments within. Then the ornaments can not only be stored but can be taken out and hung on the tree.
I used acrylic markers to add some color to the Flying Santa Attic Silhouette and a thin layer of Snow-Tex to make a chunky snowy scene.
The Tiny Ornament Frame Sets can be seen below as a decorative wall border in the "living room". I also added some Diamond Dust to make them sparkle and it also seems to brighten up the colors a bit.
That White Sleeping Cat is going to be in trouble, playing with ornaments from the Mini Box of Christmas Ornaments. Hope he wasn't expecting any catnip treats.
Busted by Santa, coming down the chimney.
Good thing someone remembered to leave a plate of treats out for Santa.
Here is the "upstairs" without the ornaments inside. You could add all sorts of items within this space including Christmas cards or photos.
The Green Sisal Tree with Snow is covered with a variety of sizes of Mixed Color Acrylic Pearls, and a few of these 8mm Resin Christmas Cookies or Ornaments.
Now for the ornaments. I had a jar of my mother's old buttons and decided to use some as ornament accents. It was fun to pick Collage Sheet images, including some from the several designs of round images that fit perfectly in place. The collage sheets that I used can be found below on my Alpha Stamps Supply list link.
I hope you feel inspired by my Christmas in July project. Maybe I should have a year-round Christmas Decorated room. I could have shelves with my Holiday Alpha Stamp projects and feel the joy every month! Thank you so much for stopping by and God bless!
xoxo
