My Dearest Sandee Puppy Love,

It was one year ago today that I received that horrific phone call that you had been hit by a car. My heart hasn't healed, and I know it never will. Words cannot say how deeply we miss you and how much we love you. Ohm misses you so much as well and it took him a long time to move ahead in life without you. I wish I could know for certain that you are okay and someplace at peace. There is such a huge hole in my heart that just aches so badly when I think of you.  I wish I could just hug you one last time and watch you run around all crazy and happy like you used to do.  Thank you for always taking care of us and for all of your love.  You could never be replaced Sandee, and I hope one day I will be able to play with you again. How blessed we were to have the few years with you that we did.  Run, play, chase butterflies and be at peace my dear pup.

Forever Our Love,
Rhonda, Chuck, the girls, the cats, Ohm and Mocha bunny

Oh Rhonda,
I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved fur-baby. I had to let go of one of mine in July and I still can't look at a picture of her without shedding a few tears. What a blessing to have animals in our lives, even if for a short time. Our lives are enriched and for the better having had the love of animals.

Best wishes to you,
Jennie and the Pekes

Hi Rhonda,

I am so sorry for the loss of your baby, Sandee. Over the years I have had to give up many of my babies. It is so hard each and everytime. I think I won't get anymore, as it is so sad loosing them, but I always do. I have something I think you would enjoy reading, author unknown.

"Rainbow Bridge"

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

Sending warm hugs of comfort. I know the void feels huge, still.
