The other day, I had to get out of the house. The girl's were arguing over the last craft kit so we hopped in the car and headed to Hobby Lobby, each with our own 40% off coupon. We needed more things to occupy the girls while home besides being in front of the TV, on the computer or at each others throats.
We were there for about, um, thirty seconds when the girls started their "I want this" and "Mommy, she pushed me" etc. I was trying to relax a bit but there was no hope. I passed another mom a couple of times and then we found ourselves in the very last isle. Her kids were in front of my buggy and my kids were in front of hers. "Honey, move out of the way", said the Mom. "Girls, watch out. You need to let them get passed", I said. As our buggies passed, we made eye contact and I gave her a look of, "Oh gosh, please help me" and she BURST OUT laughing. She was in the same boat. I said, "Have you officially joined the Mom's Frazzled Summer Club"? She started to laugh harder and we had an instant bond. She said she was already counting the days until school started.
The look on the above Mom's face says it all. I know a part of me will be happy when the girls are back in school, but a part of me will really miss them too.

Once school starts, I will be able to pour my heart into my blog, art, and shop more. I know the milestone of Kindergarten will bring me down a bit, but I will also have a moment to breath. So, now you know that I am still alive and unfortunately my blog has been neglected. But not for long.
Hope you are all enjoying the last days of summer and having a little breather here and there. Thanks for stopping by and look for more posts soon!

LOL - that was a funny story...I'm not a MOM but I've exchanged that look with women over husbands in an antique mall...some men just don't get it...great story, Rhonda
Oh Rhonda, you are too funny, I remember those days, I loved having my boys at home, but then you just need a break, it will come soon enough and then you will miss them, I always did. Thanks for a great post, I think all mom's feel that way. I hope you are having a great week. Hugs, Terri
