What A Wonderful Surprise!

I love decks of old playing cards. Especially the smaller cards with animals. This deck has been laying around and I haven't really looked at it. It came with several other decks that I purchased at a favorite shop. I saw this same deck online and thought to myself, "I think I have that set".


Sure enough it was the same set. What I didn't realize was that the tips of the cards are covered in 24 KT gold. But that is not the reason they are a wonderful surprise.

If you are reading this, you already know my love for Marie Antoinette. Each suit has a different queen. I had NO IDEA that these babies were in there.
