Marie Antoinette Swaps

I feel so lucky to be a part of the Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group. I have met some amazing artists and have been challenged to take my artwork into new territories. I love having new challenges and pushing myself to create in a new way.

One of the swaps I joined was the Paper Toy Theatre swap. My partner was Tristan from Enchanted Revelry. He is an amazing artist with a wonderful sense of humor. I have learned so much already from him and I am telling you that you are missing out if you don't pay him a visit. Below is the paper toy theatre that he sent to me. You can imagine the way that I squealed when I received it.

He does an incredible job with adding just the right amount of rich details and uses such wonderful materials in his work. You can see other theatres he has for sale at his Etsy shop which goes by the same name, Enchanted Revelry. He also makes these amazing OOAK decorative quilts. I'm telling you, this man is very talented and needs to publish a book.

Another swap I joined was the Antoinette's Altered Shoe swap. I was lucky to have Rebecca from Sugar and Spice Art Confections as my partner. I had a friend over when her shoe arrived and as I opened the box, we both gasped. My friend was so jealous and I was excited to add this to my collection of french goodies.

I love the way Rebecca added the "M" and "A" to the back of the shoe. And so you know, she also goes by pumpkincoach and she creates the most amazing collage sheets which are for sale in her etsy shop Sugar and Spice Art Confections. They are so original and if you have a love of all things french or Marie Antoinette, then you won't regret paying her a visit!
A big thanks to both Tristan and Rebecca for the huge smile they have put upon my face and also to Cassandra who is the creator of Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group. I still have one more swap to share with you from the group and am going to show you pictures of the altered shoe that I created for my partner. Have a great day!

I'm so glad that you like the theatre - I always have a little gulp of "oh-I-hope-they-don't-hate-this" before sending out a swap of some kind! I know that I enjoy what I do - but not everybody else has the same aesthetic, of course!

I love the shoe that Rebecca did for you! She's sure got the look down, doesn't she! I was lucky enough to get her theatre in the theatre swap - and it's very very nice, too!
