Show Me Your Form

Tiffany from Shabby Scraps is having a "Show Me Your Form" party today. In honor of Tiffany and her event, I now introduce to you... Emma. She has been naked for a long time now, but thanks to Tiffany she now has the finest handmade gown.

I used a scalloped, oval punch to make several ovals to layer for her skirt. I love toile, black, and cream.

Vintage black seam binding made the perfect tie at Emma's waist.

Her top was made by layering lots and lots of this beautiful trim. I put this red piece across her top to show you what I used.

I would love to have a top like this to wear.

This vintage broach I picked up some time ago. Again, I used vintage black seam binding to tie it around her neck. Looks like it was made to go with this outfit.

Above shows the under side of her skirt and the layers of ovals that I used to make it. I started at her waist and just kept working my way around.

Emma is so happy to have a special place in my studio now and loved all of the attention she received to make her so beautiful. I hope that she inspires you to create your own design. I have never altered a dress form before, so I am thankful to Tiffany for hosting this wonderful event and for helping me to challenge myself as an artist. I really love the end result.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Rhonda...
