The tag on this one said it was a sugar scoop. Seems kind of heavy to me for a sugar scoop. A gentleman at the shop, one of my local favs, said it was for hot coals. I don't know, but it does hold pens and tubs of glitter nicely.
Next item, again I have no clue. Attached by a small chain, if you move the small piece down the "clasp" opens as shown, but why? Do you know?
If you have any knowledge, ideas, or even a creative suggestion for a use, even if it just as silly as can be, let me know!
Have a great creative day!
Here is a signature question..... if you leave a "signature" on your blog, is it possible to have it automatically be on your post? I have to copy and paste mine every time and it is very inconvenient, wa, wa, wa.... Thanks!

I don't know the answers to any of these questions!!! I'm going to guess that your second treasure might be a zipper pull or something like that... ????
Oh...I wonder if it is an olive pitter???? Ya think. I will be so excited if I am right. As I am thinking about it, maybe not...that would leave a big hole in the side of the olive/cherry...whatever.
Boy, I thought I had that one. I love it though. And your buttons too.
Rhonda, go see my tin....So excited.

Hi Rhonda!
I'd say the olive pitter thing sounds good! although, I don't think I'd use it that way now! I think it be a neat way to suspend a picture inside a collage frame.. a free movement piece. Hm. the signature.. if you go to www.mylivesignature.com and sign up, then I think it pops on every post automatically!

Fab finds sweetie !
The first does look like a sugar scoop and the second looks like a teabag squeezer to me !
And you nearly guessed right - it`s right at the bottom of my blog , where you can add a page element , it says the answer is here , and you`ve to put your cursor on it to activate it !
have a good weekend !
xx
The first picture is definately that of a coal scoop and the second one looks like a little clasp to put on a teatowel so you can hang it neatly by the kitchencounter. We still use those but in a modern cotton version lol.

Hmmm . . . I love these guessing games! I can go with sugar scoop on the first one but the second . . . what's on the other end of the chain? Does this maybe go in a button hole? Is it perhaps a pocket watch chain?
I think the first thing holds spoons. My MIL had one called a spooner! Nancy
Well, my guess for the second one would be a clasp for a cloak, esp if there are two of those thingys and one is on the end of a small chain.
That IS a sugar scoop. Definitely... I'm sure you can google sugar scoop and even find one. I'm browsing looking for your ittybittybookswap link...the sidebar thing doesn't let you click it...guess I could type it in. ha
