Appreciating The Little Things In Life

Sometimes it is so easy to get caught up in all of the minor little things in life. The many daily stresses of things that need to be done and have not been done. The constant running and worrying within our minds can take away from the many blessings that we have.

When you think about the life that millions of people have in different countries, the wars, illness, starvation, and so on, the things that we could never, ever imagine going through that are the common everyday things for those less fortunate. What good does worrying do anyway?

I can be a big whiner, and I really need to work on that. So what if my husband is out of town and I am overwhelmed. He has a good job that allows me to stay at home with my girls and have my blog, my friends, my hobbies. We have all seen some wonderful places through his work that many never will. I am so blessed.

Look at this beautiful sunset. A picture taken from my own front porch. It makes you stop for a minute, times of God's beauty like these, to stop, think, clear your mind of all the nonsense and think, "Wow, how beautiful".

Make sure you take the time to value the little things in your life today. Things that many around the world can't experience right now.

I want to come sit on your porch...
Beautiful sunset!
And tell ghost stories...
I am still reading Aaron's crossing, not what I expected, but it is a good story. I am just now at, purgatory!

You're right--what IS the use in worrying...what do they say--worry is ilke a rocking chair, you go back and forth and never get anywhere! Thanks for the reminder!
