What Do You Do With Your Scraps?

I have a friend through Etsy who is getting ready to adopt a baby from Ethiopia through this amazing adoption agency, http://www.adoptionsbygladney.com/.

As you know, I do not believe in coincidences. I really do believe that everything happens for a reason. YOU are reading this for a reason, and YOU can help....

Below is some information that my friend sent to me:

"one of the needs in the orphanages is a way for the older girls to earn money to support themselves when they age out of the orphanage. when these girls "age out" they are left to themselves since they have no money and many end up prostituting themselves. the director of the ethiopian program at the adoption agency (gladney.org) had a great idea that while we are in ethiopia, we could help the girls learn how to make cards (thank yous, adoption announcements, Christmas cards, etc.) that they could sell to families coming to the orphanage. the cardstock itself is going to be provided. i am asking your help in collecting little bits of scrapbooking paper and any leftover embellishments you may have. i have a great start (thanks megan!) with lots of little letters and stickers, but would love to put a nice size box together by the time we take our trip next year. i am not asking you to spend any money, just knowing that many of you have little scrap piles (like i do!) of things you couldn't bare to throw away knowing it might have purpose at some point (yes, i know how we are!). i will not be taking any stamping or embossing materials, as that will be hard for them to keep stocked. i think the best is bits of ribbon, paper, letters, stickers, and other embellishments,etc.... if you have anything, just stick it in an envelope and send to:

Wow! The little things that we take for granted sometimes, that could really help someone else out. If you have anything at all that you would like to donate, just pop it in an envelope and send it to:
