Bloggerette Sorority

I love to Blog, and I love how many wonderful people have come into my life because of my blog and the art groups I belong to. Well, when I saw this idea for the Bloggerette Sorority, I knew I wanted to jump on board. You can find more info by clicking on the photo below. It was created by the amazing Karen from Some Days Are Diamonds.

As part of our "rush" we were to design something using the image of five girls below. I decided to create a mat with layers upon layers of card stock, so that it would look like an old photo purchased at one of my favorite local shops.

I then used some vintage seam binding, some handmade roses I received as a gift (I'm not that talented yet, but learning) and of course I had to add some vintage bling to it or it just wouldn't scream "Rhonda". I love the way it turned out and have it displayed in my art studio.

Here is a real vintage photo that I used to try and create my own vintage "frame".

And the last thing that I have to do is to show a picture of myself with the art I created. So here I am. Nice to meet you!

I am really looking forward to meeting more of the lovely gals in this "Sorority" as well as see the adventures and swaps that await us in the future. Hope you enjoyed your visit and if you are participating as well, please be sure to leave a comment and introduce yourself to me. Have fun! Thank you Karen for creating this fabulous event!
