Touching Base

I hope that all of you are having a great start to your New Year! Can you believe Valentine's Day is upon us? My oldest will be celebrating her 8th trip around the sun and I need to think of a plan for her big day.

The past two weeks have been crazy! My husband had to venture to Las Vegas for a convention, of all places. And I admit I was a tad jealous, not because I have a desire to play in Sin City, but it is where my favorite band, The Killers, are from and I believe they might just have been in town, finishing up their stay for the holidays before venturing off for more concerts around the world. It's been almost a year since I met them in person and I really am hoping they will add a few more spots in the states before they take a two year break. When my husband is out of town it gives me a HUGE respect for single moms. They need a special award because I am EXHAUSTED!

I feel like I have been MIA for a week. I finally had my 32 Botox injections to help with my migraines. The shots went into my forehead, temples, head, neck and shoulders. My muscles will be in a battle for the next couple of weeks but hopefully it will all be worth it in the end. Currently I am not too thrilled with my frozen forehead. I can't arch my eyebrows and it just feels funny. But again, if it gets rid of these migraines then so be it. I have a horrible needle phobia, so obviously I was going to deal with it for the help. I told my neurologist, "I have no problem with the thought of bringing a child into the world, just be sure to get that IV in and over with".

I have lots to share with you in the coming week. I have my piece of art that I made for Cassi's Creations design team and I can't wait to get your feedback. I plan on taking pics today. I also have several beautiful new charm bracelets to share. Two are from swaps, one with a Twilight theme and then my beautiful Marie Antoinette bracelet that my fellow friends and artists from Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group contributed to. It is stunning! My friend Deborah also made matching bracelets for my girls and they were thrilled.

Next, I have two gorgeous bracelets to share that Cassandra made. And the good news for all of you is that she does sell her gorgeous jewelry at her shop The Boutique of Enchantment. You are going to be so envious when you see them!

I also have some "Lace Cakes" to share with you from another swap from the Marie group that I love so dearly. My girls were able to make a cake as well which I will add to either the book that I make or the wall hanging. I haven't decided just yet.

So, off I go to finish up some ATCs and I also have lots of friends to touch base with, thank for their hard work on projects they have blessed me with and get things done today. Not only have I neglected my blog, I have neglected my home and it's not too pleasant around here right now, lol. Maybe just one nice long bath before I get started. Have a fabulous week and thanks for stopping by!

Oh Rhonda, I used to suffer from Migraines, I did not know this about you. I am so sorry, they are awful. But with age they have stopped, I hope, they are not fun. It would be strange to not feel your forehead. I hope it helps. Take care and have a great week. Hugs, Terri

I'm loving my cake page!

I suffer from those things too. Sometimes I will have an ice pack on the back of my head and on on top towards the front.

Have a super week!

I did not know one of your fav bands was the Killers. lol Yes they are pretty good. I know what you mean about the migraines. I get them bad too. The Dr. gave me a med that works on helping them, but it knocks me out cold! I hope your bracelet arrives shortly, if not already. How sweet of you to mention my shop. :)

Take Care
Hugs
Cassandra

ugh - I am so lucky that I am afflicted with Migraines. Everybody I know who has them just completely gets overwhelmed by them. So sorry to hear you're one of them.

Hope you're soon back to the land of the painless (hmm - is there such a place?) and I look forward to seeing the photos of all the treasures!
