I have found so many animals around my house lately. Below is the Blue Jay that is currently sitting on her eggs by my garage door. She made a nest behind out huge grape vine. I've seen lots of nests in my time, but not a Blue Jay's. I feel blessed when my children and I can experience this. She's been there for a while now and I really need to look into the period it takes for these babies to hatch.
We also had an adventure with a baby possum. It was so cute! I wanted to pet it so badly, but those teeth! We had it for a couple of days and then found a local lady who rescues possums. She has, like, thirty or so. When my husband dropped it off, she reached right in that cage and picked it up and started loving all over it. He couldn't believe it. It didn't even try to bite her or escape in any way. We thought, let's get it back for a few days so we can love on it and it can make a nest in my hair. But, it's probably just as well because then I would get attached to it and keep the little guy. Then I would be saying our zoo has four cats, two dogs, one bunny, one hamster and one possum. It's already crazy enough as it is!
Be sure to find the little blessings today!

It is so nice that you embrace the animal kingdom. So much joy comes from them. Did you take any photos of the possum? They are the cutest things!
